University of California, San Francisco is pleased to host Dr. Shakti Butler who will facilitate a deep dialogue and film screening of Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequity.

Dr. Butler directed “The Way Home: Women Talk About Race in America,” “Mirrors of Privilege: Making Whiteness Visible” and “Light in the Shadows.” In her new film and learning program, Dr. Butler asks America to talk about the causes and consequences of systemic inequity. With moving stories from racial justice leaders including Amer Ahmed, Michael Benitez, Barbie-Danielle DeCarlo, Joy DeGruy, Harley Eagle, Ericka Huggins, Yuko Kodama, Peggy McIntosh, Rinku Sen, Tilman Smith and Tim Wise.
